Next to the majestic Salkantay snowcapped mountain is the Humantay glacier or snowcapped mountain, which is located at 5450 meters above sea level. At its foothills, from the melting of these two giants we mentioned first, is the impressive Humantay lagoon at 4200 meters above sea level. A true natural spectacle characterized by the beautiful turquoise color that contrasts impressively with the entire landscape adorned by the flora and fauna characteristic of this altitude, where you can only breathe the purity of the mountains.
Programa
FULL DAY - Lake Humantay
- 4:30 AM - Pick up from your hotel We will pick you up at the indicated time from your hotel to take you in a tourist transport to the town of Mollepata.
- 6:30 AM Arrival in Mollepata At this place we will have breakfast and then continue the trip.
- 8:30 AM Continuing the journey to the start of the walk We continue the journey until we reach the community of Soraypampa.
- 9:00 AM We start the walk From this point and after coordination with the guide, the walk towards the mountain will begin.
- 11:35 AM Arrival at Laguna Humantay We will be arriving at the Laguna Humantay approximately at this time.
- 12:05 PM Return to the bus station to return to Cusco. After taking the classic photos, continue the journey, but this time back to Soraypampa.
- 1:00 PM We will board the bus and return to the town of Mollepata to have lunch Once we arrive in Soraypampa, we will board the bus to go to our restaurant to have lunch in the town of Mollepata.
- 2:30 PM Return to Cusco After lunch, we will continue our journey to the city of Cusco.
- 5:00 PM Arrival in Cusco We will be arriving in Cusco at that time, we will drop you off near the Plaza de Armas.
